OVERVIEW

The project brief required us to infuse Third Space’s signature DNA into the design, while also ensuring that this location stood out with a unique character all its own.

Firstly, we needed to recognise that Third Space Wimbledon was destined to be different. Situated in the heart of a residential community, the audience would be local residents, rather than City workers. As a result, the location demanded a distinct approach, one that would foster a profound sense of community, homely comfort, and a suburban ambiance.

Drawing inspiration from the area itself, we sought to capture the essence of Wimbledon, which is famed for its greens and tennis courts. The colour green became our common thread

throughout the project, from the tiled walls to the changing rooms to the paneling in the mind and body room; its calming and refreshing influence helped to marry the urban environment of a health club with the tranquility of nature.

The design seamlessly balances hard materials such as marble and dark coloured metals with softer timber and fabrics which produces a premium feel that is luxurious, yet still durable for a workout environment.
