To create a new, future-proof branch design for this Omani independent national bank, together with brand guidelines for rolling out the concept to the bank’s 64-branch estate. To position the bank as a market leader and help expand its target clientele, attracting a younger market profile and increasing its appeal to top-level ‘priority customers’, whilst ensuring strategically segmented communications for other key market segments.

What’s the Big Idea?

‘A bank for me’ –that responds to and delivers beyond customers' expectations. EDGE worked with BankDhofar to evolve its retail concept and position the bank as ‘the best in the Gulf’, with appeal to a younger market expressed through refreshed and vibrant branding and a strong emphasis on interactive digital communication and live in-store content. The principles of the initial flagship design were distilled down into design principles that could be applied to smaller stores or kiosks, ensuring appropriate target customer communication for all key sectors: youth / mass affluent / corporate / priority and the Islamic customer base, addressed via separate offer.
