'Collegial and Collected'

Client:
Sidley Austin

Location:
Munich, Germany

Brief:
Whilst the trend may well be open, flexible workspace; sometimes the business demands a different approach, where closed offices feature, large. Sidley Austin, one of the biggest corporate merger law firms globally needed their new, high-end home in Munich to enable collaboration from time to time whilst providing the high proportion of cellular space necessary to ensure privacy and the utmost discretion.

What’s the Big Idea?
‘Collegial and Collected’ fuelled a space that allowed sharing and community albeit in an office that was predominantly cellular. Informal, sharing places include a central library, visitor touch-down area, Town Hall arena and refreshment point.

Mirroring the company’s image, the overall tone was professional, industry leader, clean and calm, positively embracing diversity and ethical values.

This was ultimately about listening, about understanding and delivering a space that was right for Sidley Austin – and not foisting upon it the latest workplace trends for the sake of it.
